Two great movies

This week my class saw two movies classic movies called Romeo & Juliet, and West side story.I think both movies were very good.The differences between the 2 movies are that West side story was a musical and Romeo & Juliet was a play.Both movies had romance and violence.However, one movie had family rivalry and the other had gang rivalry. I think even though both movies took place in different time/centuries, they both showed how love can overcome hatred.

Rewards-Social Studies

It is not fair that some people who do not put any effort in their work get the same rewards as the people who do work hard.One thing that can be done to change this situation so that hard work can be rewarded is quicker deadlines.Like there would be no excuses for not doing your work in time.Or create a rubric.

Mood-Poetry

The mood of the song Mad by Ne Yo is sadness.The clues that helped me determine the mood of this song is ''Baby I know sometimes it's gonna rain, but can we make up now''.I think the poet wrote this poem because he was sad that his girlfriend was mad at him, he wanted them to make up.

ipods

Students shouldn't bring ipods to school because it might get stolen, or even worse, a teacher might take it! And we all know that isn't good.We all love our technology but there's a time and place to use it, I learned that the hard way.If you bring your ipod or any other type of technology to school, knowing the consequences, your stuff could be stolen or dropped by accident, none off us want that.Therefore, \no good can come from bringing your ipod or phone, etc. too school.

Bronx Masquerade #1

My opinion on the Bronx Masquerade is that it is cool how each person gets to say something about themselves and about their poems.I cannot connect to any of the characters but I do know someone who could.She was one of my moms friends, it was along time ago.Her name was Naomi, her boyfriend always used to beat on her.Since she lived next door to us, we could always hear them fighting.One day my mom went next door and found her on the floor crying, next thing I new the cops were their and my mom was yelling at Naomi' s boyfriend.She said,''If you ever come back I will know and If I don't beat you up ill get someone else to do it.My favorite character was Chankara, I think she's very smart not to choose the same path her sister did.

Peom Reflection

An inference that I can make for this poem is that the bird is trapped in his cage and wants to be free.A word that best describes the poet and how she is felling is compassion.I chose this word because I think that the poet feels bad for thje caged bird and how it is trapped in it's cage.I think the meaning of this poem is to tell how a bird who was trapped in it's cage longed for freedom.I feel that I can connect to this poem because sometimes I just want to get away from everything and everyone.
